Noah Kahan kicked off the first of his last two London shows on the "We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour" on 21st August. Despite two years of touring, Kahan delivered a captivating and emotional performance, which included a rendition of "Maine" with the assistance of an audience member. Maisie Peters opened for the New England singer and set the mood perfectly, performing a cover of Mr Brightside alongside her own original music. With guitar in hand, Noah stepped onto the stage and immediately set the tone for the evening with a powerful performance of "Dial Drunk." The crowd erupted with energy that remained undiminished throughout the night. Kahan’s goal, in his own words, was to make the crowd “feel depressed, anxious, and angry,” and he infused the evening with sharp sarcasm and a touch of dark, nihilistic wit. From the poignant "You’re Gonna Go Far" to the heartfelt "Call Your Mom," the crowd was with Noah every step of the way, screaming each gut-wrenching lyric back at him with fervour. Noah Kahan's unique ability to connect with his audience set this concert apart from many others. Rather than simply performing to the crowd, he interacted with them in ways that most artists wouldn’t dare. One of the most memorable moments of the night came when Noah noticed a fan’s sign requesting to perform "Maine" with him. He invited the fan on stage, creating a magical, impromptu acoustic duet that left the audience in awe. This level of engagement demonstrated not just his musical talent, but also his genuine appreciation for his fans. Another standout moment occurred when a fan handed him their anti-depressant prescription to sign. Rather than shying away from the unusual request, Noah took it in stride, signing it with a smile and a comment that indicated he was fairly accustomed to such interactions. Moments like this highlighted his relatability, along with the connection he shares with his audience, as many of them seemed to resonate with the theme of mental health and personal struggle among Noah’s discography. The evening was a rollercoaster of emotions. Noah’s raw and honest lyrics, combined with heartfelt delivery and soulful voice created an intimate, but electric atmosphere, each song seemed to peel back layers of human experience. With their synergy evident in every note played, Kahan’s band provided the perfect backdrop for his vocals. The minimalistic stage setup and lighting allowed the focus to remain on the music as well as the emotions it evoked. Each song felt like a chapter in a story, with the end of the night leaving the audience feeling like they had traveled an emotional distance with the artist. With the concert drawing to a close, Noah performed an encore that left the audience both satisfied and yearning for more. Appearing one last time in a Chelsea FC shirt, the singer/song- writer performed ‘Young Blood’, from his album Busyhead. In conclusion, Noah Kahan’s final London show was not just a concert, but an emotional journey. His ability to connect with his audience through his music and his willingness to engage with them on a personal level that made the evening unforgettable. View more pictures here: From The Crowd
