Niall Horan took to the stage on 3rd September to perform his last show of the UK/EU leg of his tour for his third album. Hit singles “The Show”, “Nice To Meet Ya” and ‘This Town” were amongst the 20 songs he performed at his sold out show in London. As the curtain lifted, the Irish singer’s band began to play Nice To Meet Ya, one of the singles off his sophomore album Heartbreak Weather. Horan sported what was dubbed by fans as a Bruce Springsteen inspired look; light denim jeans, white vest top, leather waist coat and a red paisley bandana tucked into his left back pocket.
With a sold out crowd of over 20,000 people, Niall performed a mashup of Small Talk, one of his own songs and Edge Of Seventeen, a Stevie Nicks cover. The singer took to a piano , onthe far right of the stage, to sing the tours namesake as well as title track of his third album, The Show. This was followed by Must Be Love, which was accompanied by the fans creating waves of light in the arena with their phone torches by lifting them in the air and dropping them down to the beat of the song. After performing Save My Life, Black And White and Night Changes, a One Direction cover, Niall moved to the catwalk section of the stage to slow it down to a three song acoustic set, featuring debut single This Town, Flicker and You Could Start A Cult, he accompanied the final song of this set with a harmonica piece, in similar fashion to the recorded version of the song. Transitioning from the intimacy of the acoustic set to a more electrifying part of the evening, he seamlessly shifted gears, introducing a vibrant rendition of one of his chart-topping hits. The crowd erupted into cheers as the familiar opening chords filled the air, and soon, everyone was on their feet, singing along with fervour. As the final notes of "Heaven" resonated throughout the venue, the atmosphere was charged with a palpable sense of unity and appreciation. The singer, visibly moved, paused to soak in the overwhelming love and energy from the audience. Meltdown saw the pace of the show build up as the Irish singer ran around the stage, fans returning the energy by dancing and singing along with him. This was a common theme through Mirrors, Still and Heartbreak Weather. It seemed as though there was a sense of real connection between Niall and his fans, dubbed Lovers by social media platforms. This proved even more by fans that exclaimed about how close the stage was and how it felt like Niall was looking at them as a singular person, rather just a sea of people. Niall wrapped up the evening with his chart-topping hit "Slow Hands," captivating the audience as he moved across the stage with boundless energy. He made it a point to connect with fans in every corner of the venue, ensuring that everyone felt a part of the magical experience. His dynamic performance, combined with heartfelt interactions, left the crowd buzzing with excitement long after the final note faded. He concluded with a heartwarming thank you speech before taking a final bow with his band. Niall was supported by Del Water Gap who gave an excellent performance.
